FEAR FACTORY Frontman Relocates To New York
June 2, 2003FEAR FACTORY frontman Burton C. Bell is reportedly in the process of relocating to New York from his native Los Angeles in order to focus all his time and energy on his new project ASCENSION OF THE WATCHERS (formerly THE WATCHERS).
In an April posting to the band's official web site, Burton talked about the chemistry between him and his as-yet-undisclosed WATCHERS bandmates, saying "the people I met up with [on a previous trip to New York] are great guys, super cool, and very talented . . . The live band that I gathered together elevated the music to an entirely new level. I was amazed at how good it sounded, for such a small amount of time. I witnessed the true nature of the songs bloom right before me. The band added the intensity that I have been searching for. They tastefully added their style to the music. The fact that they even like my new songs still astounds me. The session went better than I expected, and the music sounded better than I imagined."
It is not presently clear how Bell's move to New York will affect his standing with FEAR FACTORY, who are said to be shopping a four-song demo with a view toward releasing a new album in early 2004.
